The Sarkissian Pirata Pirate Clan

The Sarkissian Pirata are a prominent pirate clan and crime syndicate 

The Sarkissians are an old pirate clan, rare long-term survivors in a field that regularly sees the players completely wiped out. For the most part, they’ve transitioned away from direct piracy and pivoted more towards organized crime. Operating out of the the chaos of non-aligned territories (and staying away from the larger political powers of the galaxy), the Sarkissians have made it big as gun runners, contraband smugglers, illegal antiquities dealers, and hired muscle. 

In some territories, the Sarkissians have even become the de facto government; too much chaos is bad for business. While not exactly democratic or transparent, they’ve accidentally stumbled their way into forming semi-stable planets.

Not that this has added any legitimacy to their organization. Sarkissians are still arrested on sight within Concordance space, and the Rangers of the Deep have have been known to blast first, ask questions later when confronted with the pirate sigil.
