Corpsereaver

With so little known about the planet of Elravia, it is no wonder that the flora and fauna remain shrouded in mystery. The Corspereaver is a rare exception, mentioned in several texts form the era. Inhabiting the dense jungles of the Elravian home world, the Corpsereaver took its name from a bizarre feeding practice: despite their huge size (supposedly over 25 meters in length, and weighing almost three tons), the Corpsereaver sustained itself only on carrion. Solitary and hidden from the still living, the serpent was said to burrow into funerary fields, consuming the dead bodies contained within. The Corspereaver was revered by the Elravians in some capacity, although the reason for their high regard is lost.
